On your personal Wiki page, submit the

following information as a justification

for your choice of subject for the Power

of One project. Each section is worth

20% of the total grade (20 pts. each)

1)         Write a short biography 
(300 words or less) of the 
subject you have chosen for 
Power of One. Be sure to 
include the subject's name, 
dates of birth and death, 
claim to fame, and major 
life events/accomplishments. 

2)         Write a short paragraph 
stating why you chose this 
person for the project. 
What drew you to him/her?  

3)         Write a paragraph describing 
the time period in which your 
subject lived and worked. 
What was happening in the 
world, especially his/her world, 
at that time in history? You'll 
have to do some research on 
this one.  
Limit it to 300 words or less.

4)         State your initial argument for 
his/her "greatness" or "influence" 
in the world.  Although you don't 
know all the details of it yet, 
what do you know and what do 
you think about how he/she 
impacted the world (beyond 
their own world) in economics, 
government, culture, and 
technology. Once again, this 
will require a bit of research 
on your part. 
 

5)         Use at least three sources 
(Wikipedia or equivalent is 
not acceptable). The sources 
must be listed at the end of the 
justification in CORRECT MLA format, 
in alphabetical order.
